Sidelights include that of the all-rookie challenge which was already won by the sophomores starring David Lee of the New York Knicks who was adjudged this years Most Valuable Player (MVP) for scoring 30 points on a perfect 14 of 14 field goal shooting.
Yet to come is that of the much awaited Slam Dunk competition where Lee’s teammate Nate Robinson will defend his crown against 4 other players headed by Gerald Green of the Boston Celtics. The 3-point shootout also features Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki who will defend his title against tough opposition as Washington’s Gilbert Arenas and teammate Jason Terry.
But it will surely be the All-star game that will be closely awaited as the entire world will watch their NBA idols grace the hardwood and put on a show for their millions of fans.

In today’s age, anyone would want to solicit the needed tips and strategies to be able to get their feet on the right track towards millions, success and wealth. There are varied ways to go about this and most would be unique from others, in the same way that a person is different from someone else.

However, there has been a recently released video called “The Secret” that can answer all these claims and dreams. Question is, would you believe in it? Or is just another type of marketing tactic to sell this video documentary film faster? If the real itinerary is the latter, without a doubt they are doing a good job since people are falling prey for these copies of the acclaimed documentary costing $4.95 for a Full Screen Online for broadband users.
Realistically, no matter what claims are made, it would all depend on the consumer if he is to believe in such. But if the ploy is indeed a new way of strategic marketing, this early it can be told, they are doing a good damn job!

While Walt Disney may originally have been focused on getting animation up on the big screen and later, expanding animation’s hold on the people’s hearts, he probably had an inkling of how important the music of these shows would be. From Steamboat Willie to Mary Poppins to the Little Mermaid to Tarzan and further down the line, the music of Disney has stayed with many of us, long after we finished watching the shows.
There is a very special exhibit in Seattle Washington. Titled Disney: The Music Behind the Magic, it is the first exhibit of its kind. Anyone can go and experience being a music producer for Disney for a short time.?Test your knowledge of songs from the various?shows in?a Disney music trivia game. There are?four interactive displays to help you get a feel of the work that goes into creating the sound effects for any Disney production; and there’s still more to experience.?There has never been a museum exhibit as fun as this, and it is indeed a very special part of our history.
Anyone interested to enjoy this exhibit can go to?the Experience Music Project?at the Frank Gehry building, 325 5th Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109.

The annual Rose Parade is a much awaited event. This year’s parade was even more special. Dubbed the Star Wars Spectacular, it had George Lucas for its Grand Marshall and naturally Star Wars for its theme. It was very timely since 2007 is the 30th anniversary of the release of the very first Star Wars movie.
The parade had a float set as the moon of Endor with adorable Ewoks swinging around. Another float was dressed up as the garden planet of Naboo. What was probably the most interesting to many though were the 200 Storm Troopers marching along.
These troopers were not professional actors or entertainers. They were all fans, and they came from all over the world to form this very special part of the parade. The Storm Troopers were chosen from the 501st Legion, a major Star Wars fan club. The members of the legion are fans who dress up in Star Wars costumes for charity events and other activities. They were asked by George Lucas to take part and you bet that for them is already a singular honor. George Lucas shouldered the? cost of their flight, hotel and meals. You can bet these Storm Troopers are having a great new year.
George Lucas says that it was a great honor to be chosen to be the Grand Marshall. “It’s always a great honor to be put in a category with other people you admire,” he said. He joins the ranks of Bob Hope, Dwight Eisenhower and Bill Cosby just to name a few.
Did you know that adults with children in the house pack on more pounds than adults without kids? A medical study has found that parents who have their children living with them – no matter what the age, generally eat more saturated fat, too much of which can make one a candidate for heart disease.
How much saturated fat? It will seem like a tiny amount – 2 grams of saturated fat but that’s actually the equivalent of a weekly dose of one whole pepperoni pizza. The problem is that even tiny amounts become big over time. They get piled up and the end result, parents are fatter than they planned on.
Dr. Helena Laroche says that it is not the fault of the children. Rather it is a combination of factors such as high stress lifestyles and eating convenience foods. These processed foods may be quick to serve but in the long run, they add unwanted pounds and inches on the body.
These parents also often have less free time than adults without kids. So far the study show that the food choices made are often poor because of lack of time or because they are swayed by the preferences of the children such as the kids love for greasy food like hamburger and pizza.
The results of the study will be published next week.
